An unforgettable firstand last impression
Beachclub O. is part of Hotel van Oranje and gives its guests a true experience. As a host or hostess, you are the face of the restaurant and make sure everyone leaves with an unforgettable first and last impression. You give guests a warm welcome, show them to their table, chat with them and create a truly hospitable feel.
You also answer the phone and take bookings and reservations. Where needed, you help out the waiting staff by taking orders, doing prep work or clearing tables. You communicate with guests and colleagues alike to make sure every wish is met.
As part of Team O., every day is a party. Everyone rolls up their sleeves, but at the end of the working day there’s time to unwind and chat about the day together. Before you know it, you’ll have made a whole bunch of new friends.
What will you do?
As a host or hostess at Beachclub O., you’re responsible for:
- Welcoming and seating guests
- Explaining the menu and wine list
- Assisting guests politely and courteously and informing them about the options for parties and celebrations
- Taking and coordinating bookings and reservations
- Answering the phone
- Hosting corporate parties, weddings and events
- (Occasionally) serving guests, mise en place and clearing tables
Who are we looking for?
You recognise yourself in the following profile:
- Working and thinking at vocational (MBO) level, the Dutch secondary vocational education standard
- Experience in a similar role
- You’re a strong communicator with a positive attitude
- You’re guest-focused, well presented, enterprising, resilient under pressure and a team player
- You’re flexible and available in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays
- Excellent command of Dutch and English; German is a plus
